I get two of these a day and they are always from a yahoo address whether it be UK or hong kong.

I continually forward these to yahoo who have no interest at all or do not bother to reply!!

Apart from pressing junk mail button I don't think there is anything we can do!!

  • Dear Ramalho,

My name is Mr. Kelvin Lomax and I work with a Bank here in London-England.
The name of the bank is Credit Suisse Banking Group. We had a customer by
name Mr.Allen Ramalho, who had a deposit of US$12.5M Twelve Million Five
Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) before he died in a plane crash with
his wife and only Child about 7years ago (January 30, 2000) and since his
death, we in the Bank here, have been expecting his/her next of
kin/relative(s) for the inheritance of the deposit, but none has surfaced.

The policy of the Bank however stipulates a limited time period for such
inheritance to be made or the fund will be written off. Going by the record
of the incident, the time limit for the claim is closing up. In this
consideration, I am contacting you to seek for your kind understanding and
    sincerely co-operation to claim this
    inheritance for our mutual benefit.

If you can stand as the next of kin in this project, success is assured
because I am in possession of the personal file jacket of the deceased which
contains every needed information about the account and the deceased and you
and I stand no risk of any kind because I have enough information to support
    you in claiming the
inheritance. The proceedings of the transaction will be shared 50% each after
expenses are reimbursed. Kindly indicate your willingness and we shall
proceed with the initial step for the claim. The entire project is expected
to last for about ten working days.

    Best Regards,
    Mr. Kelvin Lomax.

  • I get loads of these e-mails as well as those "job offers & the ones where someone is 'deceased' & needs money transferring" and would love to know what I can do to stop getting them as they are really annoying. I just delete them now without even opening them.

I'm very careful who I give my e-mail address to and always tick the box to prevent mailings I don't want. So how do they get your e-mail address in the first place?

I'm signed up to the mailing & telephone preference services, do they do one for e-mails yet?

    LMS xx

Edit: I got a few of those dodgy paypal ones & I forwarded them to spoof@paypal.com. They replied thanking me for taking the time to do this and they would investigate it etc etc and funnily enough I ain't had another one since!!
