Havent received a reply as of yet. If you'd rather have things sorted sooner, it might be advisable to call consumer direct and ask them. Make sure you give them all the details we've discussed (wholesale website, company name isnt mandatory, buried at the end of the T&C's it says trade only but no mention of that when ordering or registering).

In all fairness, whether they are a B2B or B2C business shouldnt really matter. As an individual consumer i have has assumed that i would have the same rights wherecver i shopped. Why would i think anything else? It is a hard lesson to learn indeed.

Sorry but it should matter completely.

You can't have your cake and eat it too - by which I mean benefit from wholesale prices whilst having the protection of a consumer.

If a reasonable person deems their process to be explicitly obvious they only deal with business customers and they have no reason to suspect otherwise then I would say they could have a valid counter claim for damages as a result of the consumers mis-representation.
