They changed from A to B in 2005 so yours could be either.

See here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Zafira to id if its an A or B (Opel is the name for Vauxhall in Europe).

What you need is the tyre size to be the same this is on the side of your tyres something like 205/55 R16. The R16 is for 16 inch wheels you need the same size it may be 17 or something else.

Your will probably be an old shape A. My Zaf is an 05 plate, registers May 2005, and was last of old A shape. Is yours more rounded in shape (A), or pointy at the front (B)?

    Zafira A:

If it is an A, you need a 195/65 R15 assuming its on basic standard wheels and not the posh turbo GSI model. But others variants may have had fancy bigger alloys fitted. If its got plastic hub caps, it'll be the size above.

Afraid the Zaffy's have a terrible rep for insecure spare wheels. :( Probably worth packing some TyreWeld and an electric pump just in case you ever get caught short again.

After being caught out with losing my spare I keep the thing in the boot now with the rear cover over so you can't see it.. its a pain but less expensive than a new tyre.. and mine was locked with a Vauxhall fitted lock .. still don't know how they did it.

dont need the same size wheel it could even be of a completely different car as long as the offset, bolt patterns and rolling radius are correct it will be fine for temporary use

Yes good point. Might be better going for one of them little pram wheel (space saver wheels) and stowing it in boot.

Had no issues with losing spare on mine, don't have one, got an LPG tank underneath instead! :-)

    That's an alloy?
My steels are 195/65/15, which is usually the spare size.
I can't remember the offset, but it's different to other 5 stud wheels from the vauxhall range, but only by a couple of mil.
I'll have a look and post back up tonight what they actually are.

Best place to find one is ebay, sometimes you can drop on a wheel and tyre for a tenner, close enough to pick up.

If all you need is a spare that doesn't need to match, just get on ebay and get a wheel and tyre which matches the following:-

    PCD : 5x110 Offset : 35 to 45 Bore : 65.1 Fittings : B 12x1.5

    http://www.alloywheels.com/search.asp?strSize=all&strSort=Low&pos=1&Make=Vauxhall&Model=Zafira

If you have time, scan through that alloywheels site to find other cars which match that layout. e.g.

All astra 5 stud wheels from 2003 onwards should fit just fine as a temp measure till you get your tyre sorted

    http://www.alloywheels.com/search.asp?strSize=all&strSort=Low&pos=1&Make=Vauxhall&Model=Astra%205%20Stud%20%3E03

and even an old omega wheel and tyre:-

    http://www.alloywheels.com/search.asp?strSize=all&strSort=Low&pos=1&Make=Vauxhall&Model=Omega

e.g. try getting the old thin spare wheel for an omega from a scrappers
