Actually, it's them (people who don't shop around) who subsidise us (those who do shop around). That's price discrimination for you. But we will indeed probably be worse off, because the price discrimination that we benefit from will be reduced.
Don't see why I should pay more because someone is too idle to shop around. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I think it's a fair bet that all energy prices will increase over the next few years, not just because of the wholesale prices of gas, but because of the government's wrong-headed policies of subsidising wind power (useless), tidal power (unproven), and solar power (unaffordable for me). And I don't just mean this government, but past governments, and probable future governments.0

I actually voted for at least one half of these clowns :embarasse and still can't think off hand of a single announcement they've made that wasn't either surrounded in confusion, reneged upon, ill considered or dropped.

Many young families are in temporary jobs and in some case needing two in order to make ends meet. Some are working all hours god sends....just how do they find time to compare the market?
What is Cameron and Ofgem doing about this?
In my parents days they had one area British Company providing Gas, one area British Company supplying Electric, one area British Company supplying water,....where's it all gone wrong (its Foreign Owned).0 -
