Even with a greater choice of mortgage products there is still little appetite for house buying at present.

So what does that tell everyone?

Irrespective of the permutations available.Like energy tariff's. You only need one home.

Lots and lots of people will be quite happy with how the housing market is moving. Thanks to government intervention, 2-5 yr fixed mortgage rates are dropping to around 2-2.5% for the vast number of mortgage payers with 40% equity or more.

Those with assets, equity and wealth have done quite well lately.

10 year average HPI increase is now only 36%.

So the property bubble is being deflated (albeit slowly).

    45% according to nationwide.

    Despite remaining 10% below peak.

There was no property bubble in the mainland uk. Just a good old fashioned supply shortage.

It was like this on HPC and it was like this on CrediCrunched. Unless you tow the party line and don't disagree with those people who have banded into the largest group then they try and get you banned.

You can see on this board how it all turns out. This shortchanged chap has wriggled and struggled and then admitted he was wrong (though it was like pulling teeth) ad so he is now abanding all pretense of being here to debate issues and has had a rallying call to his pals to try and get me off the site.

What I find a bit upsetting is that DervProf is part of the gang. I have found his posts to be pretty much on a par with mine and yet he jumps on board all of this. I guess bullies just stick together, no matter what they really believe. Perhaps Dervprof is afraid of making a stand in case he is next?

Perhaps most on here (excepting yourself) are afraid to make a stand unless you are the next to be picked off by shortchanged and the group?
