Call "cut off" timer for use on BT

Does anyone have any knowledge of a timer (inline I suppose) that can automatically cut off a call after a preset time ? This is for use for 'Free' evening and weekend calls - up to one hour long.
I understand I can use a timer and just time them but I occasionally forget or someone else does and the results are depressing - 8.43 for a 1.40 overrun - depressing as I also use 1899 and that represents 168 calls with them of any length whatsoever !
Not complaining or looking for sympathy just if anyone knows of such a device I would like to hear.
Thanks

If you use a DECT (mains powered) setup, you could use one of the below (but that would still require the phone user to set it at the start of each call).

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
All mobiles have a timer/alarm/stopwatch function on them. Or use a cheap kitchen timer.
Put a sticker on the handset to remind you?
But a 2hr 40m call?.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

My Dect phone starts counting the second after you hear the dial tone so handy to keep within the 60min. Don't want to pay BT anymore than I have too!0 -
Bumping this very old thread - I've just been charged several pounds for two calls which went over the free hour, even though I have an anytime free calls package
BTW it wasn't me, it was the OH.
Has anyone found anything to provide, for example, an audible warning on the line when 1 hour is up or nearly up?We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Truecall will warn when you are 55 mins into the call amongst its features.
Not cheap. Around £1000
