Help with Pin and Identity check

in Credit cards
I've 2 credit cards so I'll keep them separate. Thanks for all replies
First is a Bank of Scotland credit card, used it in June 2011 but since then I've forgot the PIN. Can I just ask the bank to send a new pin, will there be any problem because it hasn't been used in over a year?
--
Second is my Santander Zero credit card. I phoned up the bank to set up internet banking with it so i could see what i'd used it for. I failed the credit check because I didn't know what I had used it for (which was why I was ringing them up). I also didn't know the exact month i'd applied for it.
I just need to go into the bank and prove my ID, can I use it in the meantime? Will i get to keep the same card? I think they've discontinued the zero card.
Pretty sure these are basic questions so sorry for wasting any time. I don't know the credit limit but do know balance is paid in full at the end of the month by dd.

Yes - you should have no problem with this. They will probably be pleased that you plan to use the card again, as it will make them some money.Second is my Santander Zero credit card. Do you mean security check, as opposed to credit check? A friend of mine keeps failing Santander's telephone security check, and keeps having to go into a branch with ID. It's a bit inconvenient, but it doesn't cause any other problems. His card has never been cancelled or declined or anything like that as a result.0 -
BOS - OK let them be happy!
Santander - Yes on the phone security check, it's a bit tough if you're phoning to ask what your card was used to buy (didnt think my DD would be 450) and them asking you for the numbers first!
Inconvenience yes but glad I can keep my card as I like using it abroad0 -
Have you got ID that you can take to Santander so that you can check why your payment is higher than you think it is?
That's what would be my biggest concern, get down there ASAP to rule out the possibility of their being a payment on there that wasn't made by you.
To me, that's more important than neing able to use the card.
Do you clear your balances in full each month? If not, and you've not used the BOS card for over a year there might be a better deal out there for you.
If you do clear in full each month, you may want to look at cards with lower overseas charges or a better rewards scheme, so you can earn £ for using it as you normally doFrom £8,800 to £2,200 in 2 years.
Nearly there, just the 0% credit card to go!0 -
Like he said ^^^
Just take your ID down and sort it out ASAP. If your payment is higher than you expected thn find out why straight away!
If something dodgy has happened, you don't want to waste a second.0
