JSA just been stopped!

Hi
My OH is claiming jsa and i am self employed.
Each time he signs on he fills in a form with the hours ive worked and my earning for each period.
He signed on on monday and took forms and handed them in.
Yesterday he recieved a letter asking for my acounts from april to present and if he didnt send them in by 24th Oct his jsa could be sanctioned.
However ive checked this morning and his jsa has not been paid.
After phoning them they state that till they recieve accounts hes not getting paid.
Can they do this on such short notice they can have a copy of my accounts but they need to be posted we cant fax or email them.
In the meantime we are very short of money as i have to pay out all my wages for the car mot today.
thanks

Yes, they can stop payments, whether it's right or not. Sometimes, payments are stopped in error.

I suspect your hubby is on income-related (means tested) JSA. If this is the case, then your earnings will affect his eligibility, which is why they want to see the accounts. I suggest you get them done and sent asap.

If your husband is actually on Contribution Related JSA, then your accounts have nothing to do with his benefit payments.
    may your good days grow

The accounts have been faxed by the jobcentre to the correct department.
Apparently as i recieve wtc weekly they need to decide if they need my accounts every week or every month.
Im still confused but its with a decision maker now so just need to wait and see.

is it income based JSA he is on? as I doubt if you are working and getting WTC he will be entitled to any JSA as the couple allowance is only £111 and surely if you are working and able to claim WTC you are earning more than £111?
