Renting in Conniburrow Milton Keynes

Hi all

I am trying to find a room to rent in Milton Keynes with great difficulty. the rooms which i have seen so far are either too expensive not in great areas or too far away from central MK.

does anyone know if conniburrow is a good area?

Many thanks

    Welcome!
In a word...no...Conniburrow is not a nice area to live in. They are lots of lovely areas to live in Milton Keynes but that is not one of them. In very general terms, the ones really close to the centre of town are the worst...but that's being very general because Campbell Park is nice in places. You will pay extra for the nicer areas but in general the house shares tend to be in the centre. Have a look in Caldecotte, Loughton, the Shenley's, Willen, Furzton, Emerson Valley, Grange Farm to name a few nice ones. There are many more but I'd be here for ages!!
Again it's like anything, it's people perception. I wouldn't dream of living in say Downs Barn but I know someone who's lived there for over thirty years with only minimum amount of antisocial behaviour. Also, there are nice bits in some estates and not so nice bits.
I know that there are definitely more nice estates than worrying estates but you have chosen probably one of the worst!
In you need any advice then feel free to PMme.

No. Conniburrow is not a good choice. It's close to the City but suffers from being a local authority dumping ground.
Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

I'm afraid I have to agree with the above, I've lived in Conniburrow, and while living there someone was stabbed and died right at the end of the street!

Is there a reason that you need to be close to the city, there are good bus links from many of the estates further out?
