Previously posted this under house renting, but it probably ought to be on this forum which i have only just discovered :
we are part owners of a listed building where there are 5 apartments.
We are looking to obtain fresh quotes for BUILDING insurance as have'nt done so for 3 years and want to search the market.
-not landlords-but building insurance.
can anyone recommend any particular company who are ultra competitive and efficient on buildings insurance for a LISTED building, with 5 self contained apartments within-approx value of complete building- £800K .
many thanks in anticipation

Try the Listed Property Owners Club http://lpoc.co.uk/0

I don't think the listed status of the building will cause any difficulty getting quotes - most many stream insurers will cover this presuming it's grade 2 listed not above this.
Are you trying to insure the whole building as a block policy with other residents or just your own flat?0 -
What grade of listed building is it? The grade II tend to be acceptable to most insurers, once you get to grade II* and certainly grade I then you are more looking at specialist policies.
Generally with block insurance you are looking at using a local broker (not Swinton) and they will also be able to place business for the more challenging graded statuses0
