Howden Soft Close Hinges

Hi, can anyone give me an indicative price of Howden's soft close hinges please?

We have an appointment booked with the designer, and I understand the concept of giving the price to the installer who has the account, but I do feel that it would be better to at least make the list price available because it would help end users understand what they would or wouldn't like to include. Our installer has explained his terms so we would be able to have an idea of cost and choose according to our budget.

I've fitted many Howdens kitchens and am of the opinion that the soft close option is overpriced marketing hype.

I have ever worked out what the fascination is to have a cabinet door or a drawer that shuts slowly.

The last time I had it priced, the drawers were £25 each extra for the soft close and the doors added £10 - £12. You can get soft close door mechanisms from Screwfix for just over £1.

Rough price for soft close "Blum" hinges is about £5-50 a pair.........

Blum are a decent brand,can't remember if Howdens use them or not..
