Barclaycard balance transfer query

Hi
Barclaycard have upped my credit limit and have offered a balance transfer for 12 months. The fee is 3.9% which seems excessive. However, I have just under £3,000 on my virgin card which I need to balance transfer.
I was going to to try and get a new card, but do not want to adversely affect my credit rating
Should I balance transfer or apply for a new longer term %..
I am also thinking of applying for a new spending card also. I am using Virgin for spending but the rate is very high.

Thanks

The "rate is very high" only if you don't pay your card off each month.

With an existing £3000 credit card debt already, you may want to have a look at your spending and see why you're running up this debt...... I wouldn't recommend getting another card until you've done this.
