Hi

Does anyone know of any places online that do loans for bad credit non homeowners with no upfront fees that I can borrow over a year +?

Basically me and my partner are staying at her aunties house and we have been told we need to leave by the end of the month (we have tried negotiating and we are not allowed to stay any longer due to a number of reasons I won't get into), we have no savings due to hours at work not being regular and we have only just been told we need to leave now so haven't even had a chance to save.

The problem is we need money for a deposit on a flat, we have both been to the council and they wont help us because we arent classed as in "priority need" (even though we are going to be made homeless.) we have both tried for a loan with our banks and can't get nothing, neither can we borrow from friends or family, we both have a bad credit rating also, I have looked all over the internet for loans and I can't seem to find anything, I have found a few places but they look dodgy and so I don't want to try them, does anyone know of any loan websites that are not dodgy?

I am so desperate, we have literally tried everywhere. If anyone has some advice we'd really appreciate it thanks :) x

There is no such thing as a bad credit loan im afraid.

Only option is a very good friend who is prepared to give you the money with a slim chance of you repaying it, or the bank of mum and dad.
  • Hi Cheekylu,

Been in your position and its not cool, have you looked at your credit rating on experian at all? if your score is 725 or less it will be very very difficult to obtain a loan. The only place i can suggest is amigoloans.co.uk, you will need a guarantor though, and to be honest getting a guarantor is easier than you think, just make sure you give them a strong case as to how and why you will be able to keep up with your monthly payments, and if they and yourself know your trustworthy with money you should be able to get a loan, have a look at it. Yes the interest is high but its well worth especially if you are in the position where you need a loan but your credit score wont allow you to get any lower interest loans. "beggars cant be choosers" lol.

    Hope this helps

Can you lodge with other family/friends for a month or so whilst you have chance to save a deposit?

Have you got things you can sell to raise money?

How much do you need for a deposit and how much can you raise? How quickly would you be able to pay off the deposit (as well as paying ongoing rent and all the bills on your new property?)

If you can't get loans from your own bank then there is very little chance of getting one elsewhere.

Sigh. NOT a guarantor loan and NOT from amigoloans.com.

Can I SPAM this? Can I?

A guarantor loan in this situation sounds like a recipe for disaster - for the guarantor.

They already have a bad credit history and have irregular income according to their first post.

As they've already said they cannot borrow from friends or family then being a guarantor would be potentially far worse for the guarantor.

OP there is no such thing as loans for bad credit/bad credit loans, well there are but you pay extortinate apr or you get ripped off big time. heres 1 thread and another and another, all on the same thing that they need a loan. What ever you do do not give your bank details to anyone who calls you, it will only be to scam you.

    NO NO NO NO NO

A guarantor loan is not a great idea for the guarantor, who will no doubt be left with a massive debt if (s)he is stupid enough to guarantee someone with a record of not paying back credit.

It is a nasty thing to do to a "friend", pure evil in fact.
  • Hi guys

Thanks for the replies, yes a guarantor loan is out of the question firstly because I don't have anyone that would do that and secondly I wouldn't want to put them in that position. I usually pay all my debts and bills but the past 5 months I fell into a bit of a downward spiral as my hours at work got cut due to trade and so did my partners which meant I was literally getting only about £150 a month and couldn't afford to pay half my bills, I couldn't even afford my minimum payments and instead I've been making £5 token payments on each of my debts, if my hours hadn't have dropped my credit rating wouldn't be as bad as it is.

We both don't have any friends that could put us up or any other family and as for things to sell I don't really have anything apart from an Xbox that's it and I'd only get about £100 for it, the flats we have found all want about between £1000-£1600 deposit/rent in advance upfront, that is the problem and we don't have that cash hence why I have been trying to get a loan but can't get one. I'm 23 and my partners 19 it's scaring us quite a bit that we are going to be homeless I am so stressed out and I just feel like there is no help out there.

Now we are also getting about 10-20 texts and calls daily spamming us with different loans and I reply saying stop but still keep getting them any ideas on how to get them off our backs now?

    Thanks.

I am now pretty sure you're here for a wind up.
  • There must be a loan somewhere I can get? I am so desperate, just rung another 10+ flats up and they all want £695 deposit plus a months rent in advance so nearing to £1200. Please if anyone can think of anything I'd be so grateful. Thanks
