What happens to OT supplied mobilty stuff if I move?

As the heading I have a collection of mobility equipment things to help me around the house including walking frame, toilet seat frame, bed frame, etc & soon a wheelchair BUT I wonder what happens if I move to a different part of the country?
Will I have to return them to the local source and how do I get the same at the other end, and will it be quickly, or what?
And thinking about it I have a number of grab rails, twin stair rails and outside rail to front door which I assume will stay but can I get these quickly at the other end.
I am in rented and wonder if I will be able to get somewhere to rent with a landlord that will be agreeable to the things that need attaching - anyone any experience of this latter aspect.
I know I could do with moving nearer to my family but it is very daunting when you get down to the detail

the answers are really down to the people you deal with and better directed at them for a definitive answer0

Our area won`t take anything back, seems a waste but they say nothing has to be re-used0

I have a hospital bed and wheelchair, both of which are on 'loan'. I doubt they would bother chasing you up if you moved, afterall the loan could be 25+ years (well, hopefully for me).

Regarding the modifications to a rented house, if you're talking privately rented then I doubt very much they would agree to major modifications or even simple things like a second bannister rail. If it's council or housing association then they will likely do the modifications for you.

Although that may take a while, especially if you only apply AFTER you've moved in. There always used to be a set budget for the year, so once that was spent, you'd had it. Time your move carefully if that's still the case ...If it's council or housing association then they will likely do the modifications for you.
Having said that, new builds tend to have some modifications already done, at least in some properties, and of course some properties have been modified for a previous tenant which might 'work' for you.
Be very clear in your application for housing what you need.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
You can keep all the 'loose' items, but leave the fixtures.
Perhaps get in touch with your new landlord and your new local OT to get the ball rolling?Unite Disability Champion & Equality Rep0 -

Yes spoke to OT and as you say keep the equipment but leave the fitted items and hope the Doctors/OT/Physio people when I do make the move can offer the right help fairly quickly. But I would need to find a 'nice' landlord which may be ............. difficult
