Overseer??

My mortgage application to Halifax is with an overseer. Can anyone tell me what this person does, and if it's positive that it has gone to this stage?

Depending on the loan size it is possibly with a senior mandate holder if the person dealign with it didnt have the sufficient mandate to approve it.

The term 'overseer' is a new one though!

Halifax do have a few departments sometimes have to sign bits in addition off, but pretty sure this is made up.

Thanks for the responses, not really sure what to make of this. Just wish they would be a bit more forthcoming with the progression. I'd just like to know what the situation is now.

I have a lack of credit history which has caused no end of problems.

In other words a supervisor.

but i think 'overseer' is more often used to refer to a supervisor of slaves or of poor relief.

it doesn't sound like a good time to be a halifax employee

Apart from making me laugh, we all realise what the word means Thrug..

Issue being it is not a term Halifax use, not a department, not a job title and hence the made up..
