Have this dreadful background hum to accompany all channels on my newly acquired DAB radio. I assume its something to do with the mains supply.
Any cure?

Its faulty there should be little or no background noise.
Return it, and buy one manufacture by Pure. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Try it in someone else's house. If the hum is still there, it's the radio at fault.
If it disappears, it's something amiss with your mains, or something to do with where you've sited it. Is it close to any possible source of mains interference? Other electrical devices?0 -
Could be a dry capacitor on the power supply - try it in a different socket/room/house - if it is constant then back to the shop to get it swapped over.0
