  • Get yourself a cheap wireless router, if you already have a router you may even find it is already wireless enabled, esspecially if it was supplied by the ISP recently.

    I wouldn't worry about the health issues, arguably there is more of a health issue if you trip over the trailing wires, also there is just as much chance in the wifi signal causing health issues as all.the overhead power cables, radio waves for tv and radio.

    Also all you have to do is set a wep/wap password on the router and it is safe enough.

    As for the laptop choice then Samsung always make good laptops in my opinion.

    WEP is secure just not as secure as WPA. Saying WEP is not secure is just wrong.

    Depends who you ask. I wouldn't say it's secure.

    Yes it's more secure than nothing. But only in the same way that it's more secure to tie your bike to a tree using a rope with a knot in it, than it is to use no lock at all.
