Get yourself a cheap wireless router, if you already have a router you may even find it is already wireless enabled, esspecially if it was supplied by the ISP recently.
I wouldn't worry about the health issues, arguably there is more of a health issue if you trip over the trailing wires, also there is just as much chance in the wifi signal causing health issues as all.the overhead power cables, radio waves for tv and radio.
Also all you have to do is set a wep/wap password on the router and it is safe enough.
As for the laptop choice then Samsung always make good laptops in my opinion.0 -
