How to boil a kettle, with min. water, without ruining it!

    All the commonly used mugs are the same ..simples. Generally there are only two in use.

    UPDATE have now switched to gas whistling kettle as gas is cheaper. I still pour two mugs of water in it,preferably from the hot tap.

    Ah, but in my tests :o, boiling the same amount of water in an electric kettle and gas kettle cost me 0.96p electric and 0.98p gas. Why? Because the gas is not as efficient and took 6 min 4 secs to boil 1 litre of water versus 3 min 20 sec for the electric kettle.
    I must go and get a life....:rotfl:
