No I'd probably get left with the bill lol! It turns out when you work full time all those wonderful free services we keep on hearing about (like social work services occupational therapy, social work carers coming in etc) aren't free at all and In some instances don't exist. And I'm not on a high wage by any means, it's barely over national minimum as I'm a trainee.
OT's wont charge you if you're earning bill gate's income.
Have you tried to get a wheelchair, or did you assume you would be unable to, therefore never took it further?
The system in scotland is usually cheaper for the pateint than down south (prescriptions etc) and they don't charge for wheelchairs here (quick google tells me it's the same in scotland).
So basically, the wheelchair would be free, OT or other professionals assessment is free, and arguing with them only costs you in time. All this is no matter what your income is.
So I don't understand your post really, are there any examples you have come across personally, like an OT not being free?Originally Posted by GlasweJen
