Hi All!
I'm a *Very* occasional user but thought I'd share a bit of advice for anyone else complacent/lazy like I was.
I received the British Gas "We're putting up your bill" e-mail so thought I'd look into switching my energy suppliers.
I'm on on line tariffs for both Gas & Electricity with BG and enter my meter readings via text message. I pay by DD and have not logged into my account in a while (my bad I know!)
Any how, I logged in for my necessary numbers for switching only to find, while my electricity was £54 in debit, my gas was £982 in CREDIT!!!!
Needless to say I've now applied for a refund for this, I've also fixed and am now paying less for my energy!
So my post is to those readers filled with apathy like me - Log in, check your payments regularly, and watch your balance! I know I will from now on!
At least a little of the squeeze will be taken of Christmas this year now!:T:xmassmile
Just thought I'd share,
Coaster Kev!

Wow that's a lot of accrued credit - it relates to almost 3 years gas consumption for us.
Don't you ever look at your bills statements? We would have received a dozen over that period.0 -
