Flights to Australia

Hi all,

So i'm a total novice at this flying stuff and booking flights and I am planning to travel and work in Australia for a year (Just got my work holiday visa). I'm wanting to travel next month after the 16th, does anyone know of any deals for flights to Oz from Glasgow?

Thanks for the help ;):T

Colin.

  • Hey

You may have left it a bid late to get any bargains at this stage. I'm heading out in Dec and booked my flights from Dublin months ago and it still cost £960 for a return!! I booked the return as there was not much difference between it and one way.

You could try sky scanner, or STA Travel if you are under 26 as they give discounts!!

    Good luck and happy travels

£528 sound a lot for a single, but it's the cheapest sensible journey I could find.
Jouney starts on the 19th of November with a sleeper bus down to London (https://www.megabus.com)

Then a bus from London to Gatwick (https://www.easybus.co.uk)

The some flights to Sydney (http://soc.li/Ay75NLN)

    Total Costings:
Bus from Glasgow to London: £36
Bus from London to Gatwick: £2
Flights from Gatwick to Sydney: £490

    Total: £528
  • I would suggest you to try a metasearch engine to compare prices such Trabber.co.uk or Liligo.

It is the best way to find deals

I agree with OTB...can also depart from Rome, Milan, Amsterdam etc for dep on 19 at £490-520 with 5 star Qatar, or Etihad etc.
  • Yeah, before travel, we need to make a plan.

I'm going to Australia, as I work for an airline so maybe you could travel as my companion? If the dates work, could be good.

Although I do fly stand by so we could end up with middle seats or not get on the first flight we try for but I've never had a problem getting to Australia before. (Knocking on wood) I have family in Sydney so I travel there every year.
