Need some reassurance please!
Quick story of what happened.
2 weeks ago hit from the rear while waiting to pull onto roundabout.
Accepted hire car from Albany.
My car is a total loss.
Albany passed claim back to Hastings as they were struggling to locate 3rd party insurers.
3rd party insurers now located - no word on liability.
Received offer for my car from Hastings yesterday and I accepted the offer - phoned Albany and asked them to take hire car back on Monday as I have now sourced financing (family loan) to enable me to buy another car this weekend.
I am so so so worried that Albany are going to come after me for the hire car charges. I have tried everything to mitigate to costs including phoning and chasing Albany every day for news on my car, took them a week before passing back to Hastings to deal with. Returning hire car as soon as feasibly possible for me to do so, even though Albany said I could keep for longer.
Am I doomed, or should I stop worrying and get on with my life!

Yes, I was stationary he went into back of me - I reported it immediately he didn't even bother - hence the delay in finding our who his insurers were as he wasn't driving his own car!0
