Cat drinking more - because of special food ?

Hi,
The cat with the UT problem is also on Cystophan.
We feed him wet food (a combination of "regular" plus the urinary food) and we leave out some "urinary" specific dry food during the day whilst I am out.
The problem is my other cat.
He does not like the urinary wet food, so is eating less of this but compensating (I think) by eating more of the urinary dry food (I hope that this makes sense).
I am trying to introduce 2 seperate diets for the 2 cats, but it is not as easy as it sounds ! (as an interim measure both cats are getting the same food which is a combination of normal wet food and urinary wet food).
Cats don't need to be free fed, they can eat two meals a day. They also don't need to eat a combination of wet and dry, wet alone is closer to natural. Feed them in separate rooms, take the food up when they are done/ after half an hour, they will soon learn to eat their fill at the time. Some regular wet foods are better than other regular wet foods for this purpose, run a search over on Purrsinourhearts.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Couldn't agree more. Especially after my cat suffered another urinary tract blockage after being fed on an exclusive diet of Hills c/d dry - recommended by my vet - for over a year. My new vet (who unblocked the cat this time) has no truck with dry foods for feline UT problems - it's wet food all the way now.
