Compare Ipod 4th or 5th Generation

Hi!

Can someone compare the above for me please? I have no idea what the tech terms mean.

http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/shop_ipod/family/ipod_touch/select

I am buying one for my daughter and as there is only a few quid difference, is it worth paying the extra for the 5th generation?

Thanks for any reply's guys.

5th is Better camera, 1080p HD recording, instead of 720p HD on the 4th.
5th has siri (could be annoying, or cute, look up siri uses and screw ups!) Siri isn't mentioned on 4th, so I don't know if it's there or not.

Both have retina displays, both have the standard apps that you wish to use, messaging, social media, email, surfing etc, with both being able to have apps downloaded and added on.

4th gen may come with ios5 (which means no maps that's a bug bear for many ios6 users) 5th will come with ios 6. 4th gen can be updated to ios6 easily.

Basically they're pretty much the same unless your daughter is looking specifically to improve on things like the camera.

the 5th comes in colours, the 4th in black or white. Also the 5th is only 32 and 64GB, the 4th can be had for 16/32 on apple site. (not sure if that is the overall limit on sizes, as I have an 8GB old 3rd, and then a 32GB 2nd)

Would probably recommend 32 as the minimum size, as it is a music player, but can be much more, and size is not expandable, so get it right first time, or be forever having to switch things out to stop it filling.

For the sake of £50 between the 4th and 5th, I'd go for 5th. Newer model, it is better, albeit is only in little bits, and frankly you can get coloured ones, which'd probably please your daughter, it would me! Also the loop/strap could be really quite useful in not dropping it, but for "looks" I'd prolly not use mine :D

woah woah, just something to consider before you buy the 5th, does your daughter have a dock or do you have a connector in the car she plugs an old ipod into? If so you will need a 30 pin - lightning connector which is £25, and currently out of stock... If you dont then ignore me and get your 5th gen one
