window security

Hi all

I have a double casement window which opens above a flat roof. What is the name of those things you can get to keep the window slightly open but not enough to allow intruders access. I'm not sure exactly what it is I need. I have looked at some childproof devices but it needs to be burglar proof too.

Thanks for any advice.

Much simpler way would be to wire the handle to the mains electric. Not only would stop any burglars getting in you'd help all the other people who would have otherwise been looted.

Unfortunately you'd then have the body to dispose of.

And for some reason the police seem to take a dim view of this sort of activity. You'd think they'd like us helping them in with all these cut-backs.
