Message from eon about changing tesco clubcard points

Ive just received an email from EON telling me they have simplified their tariffs down to five options, and that these new tariffs come with new benefits to do with how you want your tesco clubcard points in future. I know better than to trust EON so am assuming its a con of some description, probably to do with getting people to sign up for another 12 months or more, or maybe theres more to it, I dont know can anyone look into it and let us all know what its about?

We have simplified our tariffs to make it easier for you to find the Best Deal For You.

There are only five to choose from now, so it’s much easier to find which plan would suit you best. Also, it should be much less complicated to compare our tariffs with another energy supplier.

We’ve changed how we reward our customers too. If you’re a Tesco customer and you’d rather continue collecting Clubcard points you can do, you’ll just need to exchange your reward for them.

So, the choices you make about how you manage your account will earn you rewards which can save you money on your bill, or you can exchange them for Tesco Clubcard points.
