  • 1) I do this regularly! Yes Sainsburys do apply the 25% discount on delivery
    2) Get it cheaper by ordering more bottles and your usual shopping for over £100 and get it delivered Tues/Weds/Thurs and get free delivery
    3) Yes Sainsbury's do apply the 25% on top of already discounted bottles
    4) There are some 50% off bottles on the site now. So yes you can get 75% off some bottles.
    5) The 25% is off 6 bottles or more so has to be applied after the 3 for £12 or other offers. It couldn't possibly work the other way round otherwise you wouldn't get the 25%! If you bought 7 bottles of £10 wine on a 3 for 12 offer you would get the 25% off the £24 and then 25% off the £10 bottle i.e. £5
    6) They do like you to 'phone a week before to make sure they have enough wine in for you but I have never done this. Sometimes it's in stock sometimes not. BUT, if you got free delivery because of it they still honour the free delivery even if you end up paying less.
    7) Mini bottles - never better value like for like, just work it out by measurement!

Hope that helps answer all the queries on here?!
We stock up every time Sainsbury's and Tesco do this. We drink a fair bit of wine :)

An example we used to buy Hardy's white wine which was £8. We only ever bought it when it was 3 for 12 or 50% off so it was £4. Now it's gone up to £10! We only like to pay £4 though thank you very much, the value of it hasn't gone up so I aint paying mroe for it! (We can get it for this from Makro as well!) Rarely do you see the £10 bottles 3 for £12 (but it DOES happen) so that gets the £4 get it with the 25% discount and that's £3! Rare! But often possible is the 50% off and 25% off all wine so bottle is £3.75.

Hardy's not in the offer this time round though :(

We're regular home delivery shoppers & Sainsburys deliver Free Tues-Thurs if you spend over £100. So, we order weekly and buy in extra bits n pieces for Christmas each week. This wine offer worked for us last night (Tues 23rd), 27 out of our 32 bottles of wine/chamagne got the discount applied including our 4 bottles of champagne. It was nerve wracking as the original bill was £230, but Sainsburys are as good as there word & the 25% came off on the till receipt with the delivery. PHEW! We live in an isolated rural north yorkshire village & even our elderly neighbour orders his wine on this deal as it comes up several times a year!
  • If you use code VVTC 3FTC 3PJN you get £12 off not £10. Even bigger bargain!:j
  • thank you! using £12 discount card ordered with a £2.95 delivery slot so total order £62.95. Does this mean it will be £7.49 per bottle?

    Insanely cheap! x

I did post the £12 code last night but it was removed, It should be £7.50 a bottle plus nectar points :) Lets just hope we get the offer. I have been told if they do not have it in stock they will pick another champange at the £25 mark which i can not afford and will refuse, Even with £12 off and 25%.

  • I wondered what I was doing wrong as the Antoine de clevecy champagne was showing as £144 for 6 bottles...but it does not show the 50% off until you select a delivery date. Ordered mine now at £62 plus del so will wait and see if the 25% applied when delivered.

    Thank MSE

Have managed to go so far with this order but the website says the final 25% off 6 or more bottles does not apply in Scotland! Seems a bit unfair?? Anyone had any experience of this yet?

Yes that is the SNP legislation basically brought in to stop the buckfast/white cider never worked in umpteen generations brigade abusing and buying alcohol with the benefit money.:o

But as said at time! why penalise all for a minority of the country.

But with the SNP sitting in power it will get worse:eek: can see it in a few years time when you are allocated a certain amount of Alcohol/Cigarettes/Fast food etc on to your health card and will not be served once your weekly allocation is used.
