Underfloor heating

Hi there - I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any particular kind/make of underfloor heating? We're having a two storey extension built and I'm really keen to have it, but don't really know where to start!
Any advice would be gratefully received!
TIA

Are you installing a heat pump?0

Erm, I'm not sure! I don't know much about this. Do I need one?0

I don't think it is suited to old houses, or extensions.
New houses, I think mad to have anything else. But old houses, you either end up with it in only a couple of rooms, or you end up digging up your floors in the rest of the house to get it in. Expensive. And if you only have it in a couple of rooms, not very cost effective to install, much better to extend your existing CH.
My suggestion would be to get rads plumbed in to your extension and heat the rooms in the normal way. But, in addition to that, get electric underfloor for any tiles you ahve down (bathrooms, kitchen). They will produce nice warm tiles that are a pleasure to walk on. Big fan of it on cold mornings!
Simplest thing though, if you are getting the extension done, when you get quotes, just ask for quote a) to be extend existing CH, quote b) to install underfloor and quote c) to put electric underfloor under any tiles.0
