Why suddenly start writing to me in red. We are on the same side.
I can get Royal Canin for £2.72 per kg and Hills for £2.99. I used to help out with the CPL too. I suggest that you have a word with your co ordinator of the league to talk to the companies .
.
I just used copy & paste & it came out in red, from the website. Just shows how things get confused over the net doesn't it, LOL.
No offense intended:rotfl:
Edited to say, how do you get it at that price again, is it through the CPL, I help with Crawley & Reigate & District and I don't think they have any cheap food deals. Actually they feed any food they get donated. The big one at Charwood (like a Battersea dogs home for cats) is near us. They are linked/sponsered by to "Friskies" (I think?) so thats all they feed.0 -
Yes the best thing to do is ask your vet about diet (I'm pretty sure he will recommend a quality dried diet though:whistle: )
The crystal cat litter is the ONLY one I would use if I needed a tray again.
& a damn good scratching post, don't let them be in the house a moment without it, they might pick their own spot:mad:

Cats are priceless but are worth every penny!
Our kitty who turned up on our garage roof last August cost us about 100GBP for neutering, vaccination and microchipping, and we have to pay for cattery fees when we go on holiday-under 4 pounds a day.
If you are in receipt of benefits,or your fried is, the pdsa could perhaps help you? It's not free, donations kindly accepted, but it is there if you need it.
At least you will know this cat's temperament-some can be a little bit naughty:rolleyes:
and you can help a friend too as he will hopefully still be able to come visit his friend?Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

My two go to their granny's in the country for their own little holiday i.e. get spoilt rotten and come home with [STRIKE]c[/STRIKE]attitude, when we're away :rolleyes2The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0

I was in Pets at Home this evening and the Royal Canin was £1 cheaper than comparable Hills- not sure if the website is the same. I use Royal Canin Sensible which is great for sensitive tums. I am a cat breeder hence the price, but charities can also join the cat breeder scheme - it is certainly in my Hills Cat breeder info. - you could ring them direct as a rep of CPL.
The crystals are great for absorbing the smells, but a problem if you have kits as they can eat them. Also not great in bare feet!! this is a perennial on a cat breeder forum I am a member of. The cheapest seems to be Chick crumb or layers pellets - sometimes though these can have a malty smell, but no all.
Worlds Best is another great one, but not cheap and especially with my dog who thinks that it is yummy!
On the subject of raw food there is lots of info on the net under BARF diet- I think this is primarily trialled by dogs and when I tried my cats on chicken wings they looked at me like I had gone mad.
Also if you are worried about water - the fountains are good. The cat in the picture has a particular preference to my bath water - while I am in it - by standing on my braced leg to have a good drink. ( Only while I am soaking with no bubbles though - they get up her nose!)0 -
A word of warning. If the cat isn't vaccinated you cannot put it into any cattery etc they will ask to see the records or ring the vet. My local animal sanctuary do chipping and nuetering cheap but remember to get a covered litter tray and also be careful with cat litter. Some do not have deodorisers in - yuk! Also worming/flea stuff from the vets sometimes means taking them in for a check-up before vet will issue px. My vet is £20 annual check-up. My pilchy will also only eat any food in gravy, no jelly, meat, pate etc. Food shopping can take ages some days. Finally makeit clear you do not want him/her sleeping round your head, feet knees etc it's too warm!0

Would the bag that was £1 cheaper have been the 1.5kg size, the bags look the same, but you're getting a lot less. I used to think that with the Royal Canine, till I actually looked at the weight to see how much I was getting.patchwork_cat wrote: »I use Royal Canin Sensible which is great for sensitive tums. I only get it for 1 cat, they would probably think it a bit cheeky for that & suspect/know that I wasn't getting it for rescue cats or breeding, but thank you.patchwork_cat wrote: »Also if you are worried about water - the fountains are good. Mine used to do that, we hardly use bath now we have power shower fitted. But he still likes to play/flick water all around bathroom while I'm brushing teeth.
Can't get mine a water fountain, he will only drink from a glass bowl:whistle: :rotfl:
We had to get him a glass bowl of his own as he wanted to drink only from our glasses & wouldn't touch his china bowl, spoilt ******.
He likes chilled water, filtered or mineral he doesn't mind:rotfl:
Funny that about the red writing, it just came out that way, but when you said it, I did realise how it must have looked. If you go to the pets at home web site you will see its in red.
The Hill is often on "offer" at that Pets at Home, but the Royal Canine hardly ever is. Once I've got a buy 2 get 1 free on it, in 6 years!!!! They give you tins, but I don't need another tin. In fact that hills seems to be always on offer at pets at home. My boy sulks if I buy that & makes me feel bad.
I don't know what they put in that Canine that he likes so much.

Hi
No it was 2 kg. On the website you are not comparing like for like as the only Royal Canin is the specialist breed ones.
You could point out to the commitee of CPL that it might be worth their while to look into the breeder club as it is a saving- then you could buy it off them.
Pets @home do a lot of offers on Hills. However the RSPCA centre near us also do Royal Canin and I know a lot of people feel that if there is profit to be had the RSPCA ought to have it - I am sure people feel the same about CPL. If I have to buy anything that RSPCA stock I will pay a bit more to get it from them - e.g microwave 'hot water' bottles.0 -
We have noticed a few posts on here regarding cat trees.
We are an independent Cat Scratching Furniture provider with a full online shop to browse our great range of products.
These cat trees are sold to cat breeders so as you would expect are of the highest quality.
site is https://www.netpetshop.co.uk
Thanks
