Help with comparison please....
Hi
This is probably a stupid question, so please forgive, but our current EON SaveOnline 10 deal is about to finish and they have written to tell us they'll automatically put us to their EnergyPlan standard variable in December.
I have been completing various comparison sites - all but 1 comes out as no saving compared to what we are paying now (£1,337 p.a.!) including EON's own comparison to their other products on their website.
It seems we will be just as well going with EON's EnergyDiscount v1 which estimates an annual spend of £1,490) - but can I check....
Should I be comparing our current SaveOnline10 plan or Eon's standard EnergyPlan in order to get the most accurate comparison - as surely, the current SaveOnline plan is bound to be cheapest as the prices have gone up - I'm never going to find a cheaper plan than I'm on now.....yes? Am I understanding right....?
Should I be comparing SaveOnline 10 in my searches, or the plan they will put us on in December, EnergyPlan standard...?
Hope this makes sense! Thanks

There's no point comparing the savings to a tariff that is about to expire for you.
You should simply pick the cheapest option available to you now

Thanks Atidi - of course - that's obvious now!:o
So (again, probably another stupid one!) do I still use the usual comparison sites to find the cheapest......? They all seem to want to compare what you are on now.......do I just put in our current plan but then just pick the cheapest of the (more expensive) options that come up......?!
or are there other sites to use if you are 'starting from scratch' so to speak.....?0
