Should I switch suppliers? Help needed

Hi,

I am currently an EDF customer and my current rates are as follows:

Gas - 3.665p per unit + 22p daily standing charge

Elec - 12.58p per unit + 14p daily standing charge

Gas usage is 10114 kw hrs (year)

Elec usage is 2651 kw hrs (year)

I did a search and the other big energy companies could only save me up to £4.00 per year, I am thinking of switching to EBIco whose rates are 4.573p per unit for Gas and 14.942p per unit for Elec (with no standing charge)

Is anyone able to tell me if it would be worth while switching, based on my energy usage?

Your help is much appreciated

Jim

Stick that info into a comparison site and see what it suggests :)

Assuming that a unit is equivalent to a kw hr then you are better off staying with EDF.

    (10114 * 3.665) + (22 * 365) = £451 approx EDF
    10114 * 4.573 = £463 approx EBIco

    (2651 * 12.58) + (14 * 365) = £385 approx EDF
    2651 * 14.942 = £396 approx EBIco
  • Hi Jim,well if both set of prices include VAT the costs are:

    EDF £835 per year

    Ebico £858 per year
