Hi,
Has anyone had any dealings with these people?
I'm curious to know as I am about to send off the £10-00 to them.

The reason I'm asking is that I was refused credit by my bank, with the usual ''contact Experian, Exuifax blah blah blah''.
Credit files show nothing untoward, and cc companies had all increased my limits. (I was looking for a 0% bt at the time).
So I thought perhaps National Hunter would show something on my file that I didn't know about.Life is now good

Are all CIFAS sections clean on your reports?0

This is probably a trendy name for what was known as the 'Insurance Hunter' database - and I certainly wouldn't pay £10 to see my insurance dealings over the last 5 years!0

If your credit reports show nothing in the fraud section, then I wouldn't bother sending £10 to National hunter. Seems a waste IMO.
Bank can reject you for any reason, even if your credit is clean. They always say the usual crap about your credit reports, etc.0 -

I can see where you're coming from Gromitt, I suppose part of it is my own curiosity to see what info they hold on me

I wonder why banks can't just say the truth when you apply for credit and they refuse. I'd much prefer something like this -:
"Dear Mr xxxx,
After looking at your application, your salary is too low to support your requested line of credit, therefore we have had to turn you down on this occasion".
or
"After reviewing your credit file, we have decided that we are not certain we will get our money back, due to the numerous defaults on your file".
At least that way they are telling the truth, not sweeping it under the carpet.0 -

Agreed Sharpy, my salary is £50k+ per annum. No rent, no mortgage, and now very little in the way of debt.
But then, honesty and banks are not usually mentioned in the same sentence
