ok guys need some advise
bought game for £42.00 bin, went to pay straight away and paypal bounched back saying the seller does not accept british pounds dispite listing the item in sterling and being from Hampshire, uk
since I bought the game, others have also having the same issues as they have started leaving negative feedback.
the seller has relisted the game 3 times since I bought it (and this is just since sunday) and each time he has several to sell and at one point he sold 25 in one listing
alarm bells or what??
Ive emailed the seller and got his contact details and texted him (ebay told me to contact him) and he has finally responded by saying that I need to send him my paypal address and he will send invoice and also adds "everybody panic" in his message.
I responded to that saying that I wanted them to cancel the transaction. (too many alarm bells going off now and more negative feedback)
The seller replied saying that they had cancelled it this morning but they havent opened a cancel transaction case so that I can accept.
After a lengthy conversation with ebay (quite usless) they confirmed that the sale had not been cancelled.
And suggested that I contact the seller with the steps on how to cancel the sale.
I suggested that they investigate the seller as the activity looked suspoius. Ebay said that they would.
I have messaged the seller with the steps on how to cancel the sale and am now waiting.
what do yo guys think? the seller is still selling the games and is putting new listings up every day, at least no one can actually pay him!

Why would you NOT being able to pay ring alarm bells. Seems a bit of a dumb scam.
It sounds like the seller has messed up when listing somehow.
There is nothing sinister in giving your email/paypal address for them to send an invoice. Just make sure it is for goods and not a gift.0 -

another buyer has contacted me saying that they got the same message regarding sending paypal address which they did but the seller has not sent the invoice. Dumb scam maybe or amateur seller, dunno I just want to cancel. I think ebay should intervene as the seller just keeps relisting. Also if we did pay they way the seller has asked could he file an unpaid item case as the paypal trasaction would not be connected to the ebay sale. Just thought I would ask0 -

It sounds like an inept seller to me.
The seller can only file a NPB if you don't pay. You can appeal with your paypal transaction number.
What about you sending the funds to the seller, as a goods payment, you may even be able to pick the transaction number up in your paypal account.....you can only cancel if the seller agrees but tbh it will be in his/her interests as they won't get FVF refunds without it.0 -
£42 is a lot for a playstation game. I hope its a collectors eddition or something because you can find any new game for £35 from decent online retailers with much less bother.

It was ultimate edition which my son was after. I've bought it online now at shopto while I'm waiting to sort this out.
