hi
i have just broken my ankle and will not be able to work for around six weeks plus
i have class two contributions as i am self employed does anyone know if i can claim this benefit
my husband is also self employed in his own company.
does it still exsist as i have been trying to find it

It doesn't.
You want Employment and support allowance.
If you have not paid the appropriate contributions in 2009/10 and 10/11, this will depend on your husbands income.
For a broken leg, it's simple. You can just apply and get paid, and you will usually be back to JSA, or work, before the assessment around 13 weeks.
You do need a sicknote.
