advice please

i currently live in a privatly rented house with my 2 children. i would like my partner to move in he currently does not work or sign on. How ever he is looking for work the old fashioned way i.e without jobcentres help. I am a stay at home mom but have recently started a course this doesnt affect my benefit. What i want to know is what we would be entilted to if we moved in together thanks

I'm assuming you are claiming income support.
This would go away if your partner moves in, as it is paid to single parents only. (assuming you are not disabled, or caring for a disabled child)

I supposed you'll be entitled to sign up to JSA and look for a job as you and your partner will be able to work around each other whilst the other looks after the children?

all single claims would stop ) income support, ctc. LHA and CTB) and you will need to apply as a couple.

ges your partner have savings? ( i'm assuming he does if he can afford not to claim any out if work benefits)

savings may affect any joint claim
  • At the moment he is living with his parants so his accomadation and living expenses are accounted for, and as for savings he has less than 3000 pound savings.
