Advice Needed Please Help

I purchased a new siemens phone on the 18th March from a German Powerseller and paid for it immediately . I picked the seller because he offered paypal and when I emailed him he said he could provide a tracking number with shipment . However the cost would be 30 euro and the courier DHL . So I went ahead with it.
I was notified on Tue, 22 Mar 2005 that the phone had been dispatched by DHL on the 18th of March and it would take 7-10 days for delivery . Which i thought was strange as it should be faster . I was then forwarded a tracking number.
When I checked DHL for tracking they had no record of it so I contacted the seller who redirected me to DHL parent company deutch post website . I tried this site for online tracking and again nothing came up . I then contact DHL directly who said that the tracking number was a Deutch Post number which meant it could not be tracked outside germany.
It is April the 6th now over 2 and half weeks and I still have no phone .
Doe anyone know what my next step is ??????? Please Advise

What was the feedback of the seller you bought from?
If i were you id give it a few more days, you never know, with easter the parcel couriers can get behind. But make sure if you dont receive it you contact paypal within the 30 day period and make a claim, if you dont you may lose all your money. You need to make sure you start the chargeback process before the 30 days, after all, if the package arrives you can always end the process!

Cheers for the quick reply , very good 4718 . That was one of the main reason I went for him as I usually do a bit of research before parting with a plus 200 quid . # I just a bit concerned over the shipping really as its not DHL at all really . I wait out a few more days and if its not here by 30 days paypal chargeback is the best bet

Good advice, if the phone doesn't arrive do the Paypal chargeback, you can always cancel it or pay again if you get the phone.0 -
Two parcels in the past month from DHL. Both were next day delivery one was 3 days late the other 7. They are hopeless.
They also have an 0870 number that leaves you on hold and if you moan you the line goes dead.
You and the seller need to work together to get this sorted out. So stay calm with him.0 -
Do deutsche post have a record of this numeber and the address it was intended to reach? Although they cannot track the number outside of germany they can confirm the item was dispatched to you. Therefore its not the sellers fault the parcel has not reached you but the courier - your issue would then be with them.
Ask the seller to get in contact with deutsche post (or do it yourself) to get confirmation of the tracking as far as they can and file a claimn with them for it being lost.

Thanks , I'll email them now just to confirm that they received the product from the seller.
When I emailed them before they said the below :
thank you for your inquiry. Please be informed, that we are not able to
trace parcels outside Germany. You can only use this service as a german
customer.
Please advise your post organisation to use this service.
