My husband needs a new laptop and we don't have a lot of money to spend around £260-£300 is the budget give or take £10-20 if ther is an amazing deal. I have found this one and was wondering if this would be ideal for his usage?
He would be browsing the web, checking emails, playing warcarft, listening to music and watching movies. He doesn't use up alot of hard drive space with films or anything as they are streamed or iplayer etc, it's just warcraft that takes up space and i don't think it takes up much but I may be wrong.
Fujitsu AH531 15.6" Intel Pentium Sandybridge Win7 Laptop

I would be grateful for any input, I am looking to buy today really so any advice would be really appreciated.
TIA

Asthmatic processor, older version of Intel HD graphics which aren't that hot at gaming. WoW may be an issue but everything else should be OK.0

Hi. Check the thread titled 'netbooks'. I posted the following thoughts on there and I've put them here for you!
I bought a 10.1'' netbook off ebay. 2nd time lucky. Unfortunately, I realised that I absolutely HATED the small screen!!!!!! I resold it (on ebay) and I'm looking to buy a 15.6'' laptop. I've been trawling through Amazon and Techradar reviews, and though I'm still looking to purchase a laptop, I've learnt a couple of things.
1. Check the reviews for the laptop you are interested in on Amzon.co.uk and Amazon.Com.
2. HP laptops have a heat problem. Apparently they get VERY HOT.
3. Lenevo (?) are German based. If you have problems with them their customer service is AWFUL. (I think their customer services is German based).
I've been taken to task about my Lenovo comments - but I still wouldn't buy Lenovo or HP.
I also like the look of the Fujitsu and and the Asus. I'm also looking at the following (also on ebay).
1. Fujitsu LIFEBOOK AH531 15.6" (500 GB, Intel Core i3, 2.2 GHz, 6 GB) Laptop
2. Samsung NP355V5C-A04UK
3. Samsung Np300e5a-s01uk Notebook
4. Packard Bell EasyNote TS11
5. ASUS K53E-3fsx 15.6" Laptop
I'm not going to be using my new laptop for gaming though.
:j I hope my comment helps :T0 -
I also meant to say that Im trying to talk myself into waiting until the sales in January. With windows 8 now or nearly out, windows 7 laptops should drop in price. I would prefer an i5 laptop (though my budget isn't really allowing for this). Hopefully, now that i7 is out and has been for a while, this will mean that i5 laptops could be cheaper as well. This all might be wishful thinking!! I asked - on ask.com - what the difference is between an i3/i5/i7 processor and the AMD A10, A6, B960 whatever and the answer was useful to know. I think for gaming the processor and graphics card will be important.:j I hope my comment helps :T0

Go to notebookcheck.net for processor/ GPU performance.
In general, if you do not use the machine for gaming/ video & photo editing. Go for intel CPU with integrated graphic card would probably cheaper.
If you want to get cheap machine with some gaming ability, AMD apu are good to consider.0 -
Several Lenovo Laptops would be better:
The G580
The Z580
The U410
The W530
These can be found on a variety of sites for good prices
