Sound proofing

My parents have had their bathroom tiled. Unfortunately my bedroom is right next door and every night I get woken up by the sound of the loo flushing or, even worse, my brother having a bath or shower. Unfortunately there is only a partition wall seperating the bathroom from my room and the bath is on the wall. Does anyone have any ideas about how we could sound-proof it. I did suggest putting a layer of cork behind the tiles but they didn't seem inclined to take the tiles off. Would taking a piece of cork onto my wall help?
Any ideas would be gratefully appriciated as I'm getting woken every night at the moment.

We self-installed the soundbreaker bars, soundproof matting and the laminated panels from http://www.noisestopsystems.co.uk/ and it has proven to be very good. So much so that we are going to do all of our party walls in our semi.
You lose an inch or so off the room but its definately worth the trouble and expense0 -

Do you mind if i ask how much you spent?0 -
It was £460 for the materials then it had to be skimmed over the top. That was for a wall 12 feet long0

for a budget job, use a 2x2 frame and plasterboard, false wall, with a 2inch glass fibre infill. should be less than a 100 quid for materials.
