Remember with a desktop it is far easier to upgrade in the future, and you definitely get more "bang for your buck"!

I like sitting here, lap top on my er 'lap'

    Watching the telly, cuppa tea,

    Laptop every time for me.....

I'm sitting on the sofa in the lounge typing this having just eaten my lunch whilst doing a survey online. Could watch tv if I wanted to and i'm on my desktop. :p

I used to have laptops , but I went through 3 that only lasted about a year so decided to go back to using a desktop and wouldn't use anything else now. My pc case is on a storage box near the sofa and the monitor is on the coffee table in front of me (I put it down on the floor when i'm not using it) with the keyboard in front of it (or on my knee if i'm typing) and the mouse is on the arm of the sofa.

    Works for me. icon14.gif

  • I always stick to Desktops far superior and far easier to upgrade and maintain.

If the choice is based on value and usability as opposed to portability then the desktop must win everytime.

Why not follow closed's advice in your other thread? Even if you have to fit a new HDD, that's £50.

Lots left in the pot for a refurb laptop. Then you have both for as little as £250.
