going ex directory-how long?

Obviously I know the new directories have just come out,but how long after I have requested this should our number cease to be given out on directory enquiry type services?

About a month after I went ex directory I phoned one of the 118 services (via a sneaky 01 number) and I was showing as ex directory on their system. I was removed from the online BT phone book almost instantly from what I can remember but I still come up in 192.com's free online directory.
