Beagle Street Refused Life Insurance and now having trouble getting cover.

Earlier this year went to get some life insurance with Bright Grey, they offerred me a policy after increasing the prices but lost the paper work that I filled in and returned and just sent letters asking me to send. I saw this as an omen. That if they can't manage and process the application and the price increase, what would it be like with a claim. Anyway 6 months later, I thought I would look at insurance again. (I have a policy that runs out in 2 years so have some insurance)
Tried Beagle Street - rufused by a phone call, no reason for refusal.
Retried Bright Grey - rused online - no reason. But did disclose I had been refused.
We are both in our 40's - healthy and never off work sick. I have sleep apnea and my wife mild mild asthma. Non smokers rarely drink. Slightly overweight. Family History - My father had leukemia at 55.
So although Beagle Street seem to offer cheap policys, when you try and get one they have messed me up by refusing. Now I have to disclose it everythime.

They appear to be the online distribution arm of Scottish Friendly and part of the BISL group. I only say that as I have never heard of them before (I have Scottish Friendly but not Beagle St)So although Beagle Street seem to offer cheap policys, when you try and get one they have messed me up by refusing. They havent messed it up. What has possibly caused issue with certain providers is your original rating by BG. That gave you a "yes" to the "have you ever had insurance offered on modified terms, refused etc". Its possible that Beagle Street cherry pick. They are not mainstream.
BG are possibly refusing as they dont like re-quoting on work already done when you then decline them.
How about going with a more common distribution channel?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. You need to go through an adviser - but make sure you use independent or whole of market - not someone tied to any particular company.
From your details would imagine you probably got a loading for BMI - so thats pretty easy to deal with.I am a Financial Adviser specialising in Mortgages, Protection, Health and Medical Insurance. I would reckon that an IFA taking the details and phoning through to underwriters directly to see how they would view it would be the best thing. That way you avoid having to declare any more refusals or adjustments and as you cant rely on comparison sites or sites that give clean premiums it will be better for you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
