AA Home contents isurance -

Dear Community, I would apprecaite your thoughts. We had a burst pipe on 8th July, the AA (Groupama ) have yet to settle through contents insurance with them. We wrote a letter of complaint on 17th August - we've still not heard anything the 8 weeks response was on the 12th Oct . The Nationwide were great in sorting it out quickly but getting a settlement from the AA is fraught - the AA chat team have not been able to assist and its been the most fraustrating experience I would never get insurance through the AA again - any ideas on our next step? Have you actually picked up the phone and asked them what the delay is?

Assuming you've got proof of postage for your complaint letter then also raise the matter with the Financial Ombudsman Service but be aware it can be 6 months for them to even appoint someone to look at the complaint
