:eek:Are these companies regulated, the ascot brookes address listed on their website and also according to companies house is now the address of a company called Kanton claims (Kanton group),which was the address of ascot brookes associates, which was also the address of millerscott. Not only do they share address' but also current and former Directors with one thing in common they dont appear to file accounts. As soon as the accounts are due for one company a new one opens with Directors of similar sounding names. So the question is:-
1) Is there going to be stronger regulation on claims companies
2) Does companies house actually check into people who seem to form multiple companies but never accounts
3) How do they get away with it

Hi there
I do not know much about claims companies or their regulation, but you could try emailing/contacting Claims Management Regulations (Ministry of justice) who should be able to help.

Neither Kanton Claims Limited nor Ascot Brookes Associates Limited appear on the Claims Regulation Register.
A company called Judicious Professional Solutions Limited, which traded as Ascot Brookes was authorised by the MOJ but is not any more.0 -

So that just goes to show how weak the regulations are if they can call themselves a claims company and not even be registered.
So what can be done about these type of companies who are just jumping on the claims bandwagon?

The MOJ cannot be everywhere.
However, you can e-mail your concerns, with any evidence, to consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk0
