electric water heating

Hi all, We are currently supplied by calor gas on a metered estate. It is very expensive and now only use gas boiler for heating hot water after insulating house, installing multifuel fire and electric heaters. Dont want oil and cant get mains gas, cant fit back boiler to fire. Can anyone suggest a electric system to heat…

Depends on how much hot water you need and when you need it during the day but have you considered an Economy 7 hot water cylinder.

E7 electricity is 5-6pkwh so more than mains gas, but relatively low up front cost and low maintenance compared to heat pumps.
