Replacing TV Aerial Faceplate

Hi,
I'm replacing two faceplates.
Behind the faceplate:
One has two cables (a brown one and a white one)
One has just a white cable
Does anyone know what they would expect to find behind a TV aerial faceplate?
I expected just the one cable - so the one with just a white cable is straight forward but does anyone know why there would be two cables?
I thought possibly one of them is one that used to be attached to a different aerial (we've only just moved in).
If theres an obvious answer could you reply? Otherwise I'll just have to some how follow both cables to see where end up

You could have TV and FM (or DAB) radio.0

Hi,
the white one could be the Sky cable, and the brown an analogue cable.
Have a look and see what's attached to your building outside, Sky dish, analogue aerial, if no analogue aerial then it may have been removed when Sky installed, and cable just left.0 -
Thanks for the replies!
Do you know if simply screwing both wires into the hole on the faceplate would be safe? Presumably (apart from lightening) there is no current that could make the socket dangerous even if one wire isn't required....0 -
Brown wire is from the aerial. White wire is taking the signal from the aerial via first faceplate to the second one. If you leave the white wire off the first faceplate you'll get no signal at the second. If you leave the brown wire off the first faceplate then you'll get no signal at either one.0
