first home buyer energy provider
Hi, im just about to complete the purchase of my first house but dont know where to start with regards to finding the cheapest supplier of electric or gas. Every comparison site that I go to requires the information of my current supplier and tariff, both of which I dont have one. How do I find the best deal as a first time buyer?

Every connected property has a existing supplier, with whom you are in a deemed contract from day one. You must register with them before you can switch.
From the aspect of using a comp site, it doesn't matter what you select as the current supplier, just pick something like BG Standard. The point is to get the comparative data.
