Need new battery for pretty old laptop - help!

I've been using my old Packard Bell EasyNote R1004 laptop via the mains for a couple of years as the battery has long since given up the ghost. I'm now going travelling and want to make sure I have a battery as a backup. Problem is I can't seem to find a branded battery or decent seller for a non-branded battery. Packard Bell's website is useless - my laptop is not even listed - or an email address to contact them.
I've found loads of battery sellers on eBay and Amazon but the feedback is very poor (from complaints that products were faulty and refunds refused through to batteries that only lasted an hour once charged).
Anyone know of a decent laptop battery seller?

have heard these guys recommended before, not used them myself though. However, you could try spending half that on something like this:-

it's your money, sometimes you have to take a chance. If it's any consolation, I and others I know have bought from HK before with no probs.....luck of the draw? maybe, you only really know when things go wrong and either they are dealt with properly or you hear nothing back. I've bought from chinese companies with good customer service before.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Thanks for that. I guess if it comes down to it it's still cheaper to take a chance on a cheap battery that might be duff than buying a whole new laptop or iPad to take with me. I'm currently job hunting so need to be able to check my emails a few times a day for possible replies.
Have managed to send Packard Bell a message (took forever to navigate their website - not user friendly) so if I have no joy there I might use your suggestions.
Thanks again for your help.0 -

Powercell_UK? I recommend them. Have used them many times with my business. Next day delivery and if you're in Nottingham where they are you can call round and collect usually.0
