manchester city council home contents insurance?

Its late and cant ring them, but my son has just dropped his table pc and cracked the screen, we have got contents insurance with accidental damage do you think this will be covered by a council scheme?
the actual insurer is aviva.

    Looking the the booklet it says I am insure for home computer equipment would this include tablet pcs?

  • Yes, it'll be covered, and I believe you have no excess.

    These schemes are also very loosely rated, so a claim shouldn't give you much of a hike, if any, in the premium.
