british gas, electricity only usage

i am with BG but for electricity we have no gas at all.

my last bill from june to sept is £322 it says ive used
2692kwh over 89 days at 23.626p for 176kwh & 11.172p for the next 2516kwh

also on this bill it says ive used 18099.01kwh from 11 sept 11 to 10 sept 12 @ £2212.23 on standard rate

ive been to energy helpline and its saying coop or eon but when ive looked at the tariff on each one i cannot see how they calculate so dont know if they are really any better and if moving to either will be a benefit or not?

can anyone offer any help

sorry thats what i dont understand on the coop one its says
17.61p per day standing charge & 11.830p per kWh and the eon one says

25.75 p per day standing charge and 12.453 p per kWh

that doesn't match the way my BG bill shows the breakdown so dont understand how it compares

Look at the annual costs!

The BG bill explains how they have worked out their price.
(It's also shown on EHL at the top)

EHL details how the competitors costs are made up.

The BG tariff is based on a 2 tier unit charge; the competitors are based on a daily standing charge and a single unit price.

"the dates of their rates" means nothing to be frank.

Martin has been saying for months that you should consider taking a fixed tariff.

Eon have pledged not to raise their prices anytime this year.
