Driving new custom to a website

All of you computer people out there, I'm in need of some advice. I have a very small company that I have started recently, and have created a website for said company. However, I dont know any quicl/ cheap or effective ways of getting people to look at the website, in order to use my services. Does anyone have anyideas…

Old-school ideas

Business cards - with the web address upon them. Vistaprint are cheap and easy. Business cards are only of use if you get out there and put them in people's hands, though...

Flyers
Web address on your vehicle (check that your insurer will allow sign writing on it)
Networking
Print advertising in your local paper - just put the URL in the advert, no phone number, if it's obvious from the URL what the nature of the business is.
